Special Interest Groups

Brecon U3A currently has 20 Special Interest Groups covering a wide range of topics. Members and visitors are welcome to attend any meeting of any Group to listen and join in!

The dates and times of meetings of all of our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) during the current term can be found on the Forward Programme page. Dates and times of individual SIG meetings can also be found on the individual SIG page. The majority of SIGs meet at the Theatr on Thursday afternoons. SIGs allow members to explore many subjects and activities outside the morning programme.

Joining a SIG Group is an excellent way to learn about how U3A involves its members. If you have a special area of interest that you would like to develop, then creating a new SIG may be a really good way to do this. The Leader is not necessarily a teacher or expert, but someone who has an interest they would like to share with others. The Committee can advise and support you in doing this.
