When I, in a rash moment, agreed to be the co-ordinator of the Art Appreciation SIG, I knew there were others who were much better qualified for the job than me. However,
there are certain pictures you see, either in a museum, gallery or even a card shop, that bring you up short. You catch your breath and look again and again and they feed your soul. Who painted the Skaters? I am sure everyone knows a lot more about art than they realise. So, for our first session this term, which takes place in the studio on 30th January at 2.30 p.m. we are having an Art Quiz, devised by Deanna Leboff, to whom I am extremely grateful, to test your knowledge on art. You may be surprised how much you know of the subject, and how much you have unconsciously imbibed over the years. This is not a competition, there are no prizes, it is just a bit of fun at the beginning of term! So come along and enjoy yourself.
